INTERIOR DESIGN
1 Project Introduction
During this initial site visit, our goal is to understand the desired outcome. Together, we’ll create a master wish list that fits the budget and timeline.
2 Site Review & Measure
Often with the contractor or engineer present, the purpose of this next site visit is to further understand existing conditions, take measurements, and (if required) produce a complete to-scale floor plan in CAD format.
3 Concept Development
We create the concept package and key design ideas for the interior. At the end of this phase, we will present the visual direction using images, sketches and finishes, along with conceptual space plans and elevations.
4 Design Development
Schedules are developed as we continue to source all finishes, fixtures and fittings. Comprehensive elevation drawings of millwork and custom furniture items are also completed during this phase.
5 Contract Documentation
Construction drawings are developed. Fixtures and finishes are scheduled, and confirmed, and tenders are issued and then submitted for review. We collaborate with the contractor to ensure the price and proposed design meet the expectations of all parties.
6 Contract Administration
Providing support and assistance throughout the construction process, we’ll liaise with trades and consultants, review shop drawings, schedule regular site visits, and respond to any issues that may arise.
7 Furniture Selection
Sourcing furniture, fabrics, lighting, rugs, window coverings and fixed accessories, we’ll provide layouts/furniture plans and a list of items to complete the space, along with a schedule listing the product’s name, supplier, size, finish, price, and lead-time. Once approved, we place orders, track shipments and oversee delivery. We can also include accessories and artworks in this process, upon request.
